The staff and board of Biblical Counselling UK give thanks to God for the life of Queen Elizabeth II – for her example of faithful service, her wise and dignified leadership, and her public witness to her own faith. Both through her life and words she pointed us to the servant leadership of Jesus Christ. While joining in sadness at her death, we remember with gratitude the promises of God and the sure and certain hope of eternal life. We pray for her family in their loss and especially for our new King, Charles III.

Almighty God, in whose tender care Queen Elizabeth II lived, reigned and died, we thank you for the sacrificial service she embodied throughout her life. In your tender mercy, grant comfort to all those who mourn. Bring strength to those in need. And equip His Majesty the King to rule wisely in her stead, to the glory of God and for the good of all people. Amen
